One–day Excursions
Mendoza Winery (Bodega) Tour
This full–day private tour features visits and tasting at the best of Mendoza’s traditional and contemporary wineries. You may decide whether to focus on bodegas in Lujan and Maipu, Mendoza’s most traditional wine regions; or to venture about an hour–and–a–half south of the city to Valle de Uco, where many of the new, foreign–owned wineries are located. If you want to visit particular wineries, or sample particular styles of wine, we’ll build the itinerary around your preferences. At lunchtime you’ll dine on a multi–course tasting meal—each course accompanied by a different wine—at a bodega.
Andes Mountain Excursion
This unforgettable one–day excursion offers a panorama of spectacular scenery. Scenic attractions include the teal blue waters of the reservoir at Potrerillos, the town and Valley of Uspallata (where the film, “Seven Years in Tibet” weas filmed, and the vivid yellow, green and orange striped rock formations of the Inca Bridge. The ultimate experience is reaching the base of Aconcagaua, the highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere, for views of the snow–capped mountain reflected in a small lake. There a refreshing short hike will stun you with a 360–degree view of the surrounding Andes. If weather permits, the excursion includes a picnic lunch at the base of Aconcagua.
